Jenny is the principal owner/operator of Bright Vine Services, which was established in 2002.
She is a qualified winemaker/viticulturist, having completed the Bachelor of Applied Science (Wine Science) with Distinction, graduating as Dux of her class from Charles Sturt University.
In the 1990’s she had 10 years experience as the Chief Winemaker at Red Hill Estate on the Mornington Peninsula, then worked with local Hunter Valley winemaking identities such as Jim Chatto, Gary Reed and Greg Silkman at Monarch Winemaking Services in the early 2000’s.
Her interest then turned to helping vineyard owners and managers with vine and soil health with the view to improving wine grape quality, particularly in some of the newer viticultural areas of the Lower Hunter.
Environmental sustainability and working with what Nature has provided rather than against it is a primary focus ...She believes good soil structure and biology are the bases of strong healthy vines and grapes.
Jenny is a Committee member of the local Viticultural branch of the HVWIA (see links), and actively participates in educational seminars both locally and further afield.
"My competitive edge is my winemaking experience as well as my background in the difficult viticultural area of the Mornington Peninsula. This experience has provided me with skills involving the growing of quality grapes for a particular wine style under testing conditions. I have also developed a reputation for reliability, organisational skills and quality collaboration and communication."
